（原“多國(guó)儀器儀表展”）

中國(guó)政府批準(zhǔn)的首家由社會(huì)團(tuán)體主辦的專業(yè)展覽會(huì)，自 1983 年起，已成功舉辦了 33 屆，參加活動(dòng)累計(jì) 40 個(gè)國(guó)家和地區(qū)的數(shù)千家企業(yè)，數(shù)萬(wàn)名科技工作者以及展覽會(huì)觀眾 60 余萬(wàn)人次。MICONEX 為國(guó)內(nèi)外儀器儀表界搭建了一個(gè)長(zhǎng)期穩(wěn)定交流大平臺(tái)。

MICONEX is the first professional exhibition sponsored by social organization with the approval of Chinese government. Since 1983, it has been held for 33 sessions and attended by thousands of enterprises, tens of thousands of scientific and technical workers, and over 600,000 person/times of professional visitors. MICONEX functions as a long-term and stable communication platform for domestic and overseas measurement, instrumentation and automation communities.

Miconex1983年4月于上海展覽中心首秀，因始于“改革開(kāi)放”初期，在國(guó)內(nèi)會(huì)展業(yè)引起轟動(dòng)。當(dāng)時(shí)共有17個(gè)國(guó)家和地區(qū)的400余家展商參展，展出面積僅為17000平米，80%為國(guó)際展商，包括6個(gè)國(guó)外展團(tuán)，2000多個(gè)涉外參展人員，學(xué)術(shù)會(huì)議代表300余人，包括國(guó)外代表近200人，技術(shù)交流300余項(xiàng)。“多國(guó)儀器儀表展”成為當(dāng)時(shí)國(guó)內(nèi)第一個(gè)非“中國(guó)貿(mào)促會(huì)”（CCPIT）主辦的“另類”展會(huì)（由國(guó)務(wù)院特批）。自此以后，中國(guó)會(huì)展業(yè)的閘門在“改革開(kāi)放”的號(hào)角聲中轟然大開(kāi)。各路“英豪”（展會(huì)主辦方）紛紛效仿，各地政策逐步“松綁”，迎來(lái)了我國(guó)上世紀(jì)八十年代后期和九十年代初期的第一波會(huì)展業(yè)發(fā)展大潮。

Miconex made its debut at Shanghai Exhibition Center in April 1983, which caused a sensation in China’s exhibition industry because it began at the early stage of "reform and opening up". At that time, there were more than 400 exhibitors from 17 countries and regions, with an exhibition area of only 17,000 square meters. 80% of the exhibitors were international exhibitors, including 6 foreign exhibition groups, more than 2,000 foreign-related exhibitors, more than 300 representatives of academic conferences (including nearly 200 foreign representatives) and more than 300 items of technical exchanges. Multinational Instrumentation Conference and Exhibition (Miconex) became the first exhibition not organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) at that time (it was specially approved by the State Council). Since then, China's exhibition industry has been booming with the development of the "reform and opening up". Exhibition organizers followed the trend, and the policies of places were gradually liberalized, ushering in the first wave of the development of China's exhibition industry in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

In the field of commmunications, there is a new-found technological capacity available to the international media to bring to us developments worldwide as they happen Such advances, of course, help us to gain a fuller and more balanced understanding of cultures and civilizations, problems and opportunities not our own The technology behind them, moreover, equips us better than and past generation on the planet, to address our shared challenges together, intemationally. It is for this precise purpose that the United Nations and all its sperialized programmes exist. So, in closing, let me express the hope that the development of instrumentation will help science and technology in contributing meeting the challenges facing humanity today
